i do like that it's nice :) i see what you're saying about the oestrogen vibe but no complaints here as that is good pink
After several (too many) hours of struggling through creating a table less layout, v1.0 of this design is finally launched.
Triple Moons Design | High Quality, Affordable, Custom Design
I want to spruce up Services, Portfolio & Graphic Design Portfolio, but after staring at code for so long, my brain's fried! So suggestions on these sections is very welcome. I have a ton of GD work that I need to go through and determine what all will be in that section, but I need a break from that web site!
I've been told it's text heavy on the home page (and I'm not happy with the main content text there, it's old and needs updated) and it has an "estrogen vibe" because of the pink (which I got a chuckle out of).
Critique away. :drunk2: <---- I'm the one that fell over...

I recommend you resize your thumbnail images instead of getting the client browser to resize them. Browsers don't do a good job of image resizing and leave edges looking quite jagged.
And cut off your toolbars and status bars. Why are they there?

This^^, you took a screenshot but you left in the toolbars and the firefox status bar at the bottom.
It's on all of them. Didn't you know that?

I imagine since I did it, I know the toolbars weren't cropped out, don't you think?
Just a suggestion to you on making replies...Watch what you type. With forums, a reader can misunderstand your "tone." I'm choosing to think your comments weren't meant as I originally read them.
I don't know how you read them, but assume there is no tone. Take the words for what they are. Suggestions on things to change that would make slight improvements.
If you have everything the way it is on purpose and you have good reason for it, then ignore my suggestions, makes no difference to me.

Well... if you say that you create valid css & xhtml, you should probably start with your own site
CSS Validation: FAILED 4 errors 5 warnings
Hmm, that's from that Javascript rotating thing on the home page. It was just supposed to be a plug and play valid script. I haven't the foggiest how to fix it since I didn't create the script.
Precisely the reason why you should be careful using other's script's or code... you should always try uploading the code manually to the validation site and checking it for individual errors.
In this case you should try removing the individual lines that are invalid and then see how it affects your site. Test it and if you determine you need the effect to achieve a certain desired effect, then go in and manually add VALID code to the css file in question.
Of note, on your site.. opacity is not yet supported as valid code. Hopefully it will be included in CSS 3.0 if everyone can work out a resolution to the current hacks.
