Default Feedback For A New Website

Hello everyone,

I was hoping that I might be able to get some feedback on a new website I've just made. It is an extremely simple design - seriously. For some reason, whenever I am designing my own business elements, I struggly for ideas - but when I am designing for clients, I don't have the same problem. Anyway, hence why the new website for my business is so simple. I've essentially left it as a 'brochure' website.

You can see it by going here.

If anyone can provide any feedback, or even ideas on making it a little less basic, that would be great. My creative mind is seriously blocked!

Use more html and less image and there's no point in having the big space at the top

Where would you suggest I use more HTML? Just in place of some of the 'blank' images, do you mean?

Regarding the big space at the top - are you pointing that out for resolution reasons, or aesthetics?

Thank you for your response, by the way.

This is my browser window, you haven't utilized the space you have, the blue marks are wasted space that your eye's are drawn to

Okay, fair point.

Would you suggest, then, that I change the image-text-links for text-links? What changes, apart from the obvious ones, would you suggest that I make?

I really appreciate everyone's help here.

I see you've done away with the blue and change the backround to all black. This seems to be an improvement. You can still use the shade of blue, I quite like it in fact, just use it in moderation and simpicity.

I thought the list of your offered services on the side were links.

i'm in agreement with what everyone else has said.

personally i think you can add interest and style simply by making your pages match page two of your '07 Prospectus
following through with a theme like this is good for branding, corporate image, and multimedia congruency.

the "m e w^3 p" down the side of your contact information makes me think that it is supposed to be an anagram of some sort, especially since the m and p seem switched.

it strikes me more as a business card site than a brochure site. add a page explaining your services or detailing your resume. one or two pages is all you would need to really make such a simple design pop and work to it's full potential.

remember... online text/content is king!

Loads as a liquid for me, right now.
It looks fine, I'd just recommend (as the others did) not to use images.
A portofolio, usually has more visual effects, yours is as you said - simple. I like simple sites, you just have to work on the details.
Good luck ;)
