Default New Member & New Site! :)

Hey guys, I just found this site so I figured I'd go ahead and post my own for review (since I recently redid it).

I'm having a bit of trouble making it feel "complete". It feels like it's missing something. Please take a look at the actual site and poke around.

I've been reading some of the critiques given here and everyone seems to be very helpful, so I'm hoping for a bit of the same. :)

So after you're done checking it out, please come back and answer a few things/give a few ideas, etc! Did you like it? What are your thoughts on it aesthetically (logo, colors, style)? Function wise?? Overall??? You get the jist! ;)

Looking forward to your replies!!

Thanks,
Dave :)

ditto what toon said. also, i'm unsure why you used flash for the left navigation and contact information. Unless the flash is "needed" to truly accomplish some type of functionality, IMHO, it should not be used. I'd remove frames and change the navigation and main header to xhtml and css. it would be lower overhead that'll cache fast, so iframes are really not necessary.

Been meaning to give the menu areas more reason to be flash... finally animated it a bit today. :)

Doctype? Proper coding?

Not bad for all the Flash. The art is nice, not really well structured coding unfortunately.

Large fontype! Lots of people will have a hard time reading this. I could barely read "starving artist" , a jibe that would get a lot of people's attention. I like the combinaton of the earthy tones here. But the distinction and sharpness of your logo is lost.

The deep brown fontcolors (such as in your resume) doesnt really help it at all so you can remove them.

design is good but it wont fit on most screens, that needs to be sorted.

Plus i would have a better menu rather than a batch of text links in your paragraphs
