it's been my experience that flash requires some sort of user interaction before it will respond to rollovers and so on. cold fusion can produce effects like flash but does not require that initial interaction to activate it. that is why i was asking if it was coldfusion.

the following link is my cousins freelance site and i know that it is made with coldfusion. RAD designs // design solutions for web, print & video

perhaps i am just confused about how coldfusion effects and flash are similar and different since i personally have never used coldfusion.

Coldfusion is an application server.. similar to ASP or PHP.

It has nothing to do with the animation or effects...

Quite correct

Gotcha...

Well, if you're interested in that sort of effects stuff and dynamic content, etc... here's whats on Adobe's developer table at the moment.

They call it SPRY and here's some interesting links you may want to check out:

Spry Framework for AJAX Developer Center

I am just after seeing that ajax/cold fusion comments. The reason I used flash is that you can not right-click on an image and "save as".... :-) Plus I am pretty bad at programming....

Thanks for all your input, as you can see I still didn't finish the text, that is my next target.

Meanwhile I finally got my Istock business cards with the code for 3 free credits. If anyone is interested in registering with Istock, ask me for the code for 3 free credits. Just send me a polite email: info@fotoie.ie :-D

I like the site but thought it had a bit of a loading time, I like the script on the image selection bar in the top right as it's really fluid.

nice work and nice site. the one thing that strikes me is on the photos that start a category, i'm not liking the font you have for the heading. it feels really not in keeping with the rest of the site and would look nicer in a cleaner font, perhaps helvetica light
