Default Centrereed Integrated Product Site Re-Design

Having another shot at the re-design for our company site, we've slipped down the SE's a bit to 9th for many of our main keywords.

integrated cards - Google Search

Old site to refresh your memories is looking a bit dated now.

Colour Printing plus Integrated Cards & Labels

The main problem is due to my onslaught of the SE's and all the SEO (Text mainly) it's becoming a little plain looking due to it having not many images etc.

Integrated Cards, Labels and A4 Peel Products

I would like less text on the home page but for SEO reasons I need the layout to remain as is. Most of the other pages won't look so full so I'll be able to style them a little better but let me know what you think so far and mainly if there's any bugs in IE 6 + 7 for I really get started.

Prewe mentioned the menu's jumped a little last time, do they still?

Well i've only got 2 things to say about it. All that grey text makes it look quite washed out and hurts the readability of the site imo.
Also, for someone who makes so many great logos for a living, your company logo is pretty weak.
Agreed with the less text thing btw.

I quite like it I find it quite easy on the eye and modern although there is alot of text if it's all relevant that fine.
I'd make the grey text within the dropdown menus a little darker for clarity but overall I like it.

The design is clean and simple, and the colour theme works for me, though it could have blue used as a bit deeper (more hue) to give some depth to the design. overall I think the page has a logical structure, though I would like to see that logo on the top header-space in some form, as this page distantly reminds me of those pages you get when you typo an URL and get a page which has all these links and adventisements, and no actual header except some random text. The navigation works like a charm.

The pdf-icons looks a bit crappy, compared tothe site around them. I also despise links having >>. It always looks sloppy and horrible. Maybe an icon or a good 'ol "»" would make it better?

As for some development ideas.. maybe the use of orange as a background colour for the submenus that slide out (and white texts) would bring the header/navigation area more together. Also styling the search-form to have rounded edges would make a whole lot of difference to the look of the site too :)

Don't have nothing else sensible to say, as I don't know much about the client or the brief you got. But these are something that I'd change, so that a good design won't be ruined by trivial details.

Good job on the redesign.

Well the results for Yahoo and Google are in and it's gone to number one for one of the keywords and number 7 for the other, (MSN are yet to re-index).

The SEO worked perfectly.
