I'm the opposite bottom is fine just needs a little refining top text is not readable enough even at that size, unfortunately when you're working with pink text usually has to be quite blocky or very swirly and your's is neather. Only my opinion but I actually did a course called 'designing in pink' it was actually a module for male designers to think more feminine in their designs. (Don't laugh)
It was one of the most interesting things I've ever done and opened many doors to be able to design for nail bars, hair salons and clothing lines etc. On of the sections was about using pink and how it needs to be quite flowery and free or block solid to have an impact and I believe in yours the image is stronger than the text because of this. |

Not always, otherwise there'd be no rules. To throw ideas about and experiement is what drives design and creates new trends but there are certain techniques that never change for the reason of aesthetics.
Take logo design for instance, the best logo designers in the world will tell you it's all the about the balance between concept and technique. You have some people that can come up with the most mind blowing ideas but don't have the technique to pull it off or finalise it. On the other hand some of the best logo designers in the world are those that come up with the most normal and basic concepts but really know how to pull it off, you get a fininshed logo polished and spaced and presented to perfection. Remember some of the greatest experimental concepts in the world are often lost on the main target audiance...... .....the everyday general public. Unless you design for designers alot can get wasted along the way. That's why certain rules are put in place and I have to agree with the above 100%. Pink is an impact colour, it's wasted on thin fonts. On a high note the otherside is great it has the impact needed to maintain the use of colour. Nice work.
