Personal Portfolio Redesign - Critiques Wanted

Hi,

I just launched a new design for my website.

Would appreciate any comments whether bad or good.


Note: the content is not complete, and may change, but what Im more concerned with help on is the design, usability of the site. If the navigation is clear enough. Any typos I may have missed would be apppreciated.

I quite like it it's clear enough, the only thing I don't like is the font that the words home and the other navigation is in, I just don't think it works. Maybe try something a little cleaner to blend in with the rest of the site.

(But thats just personal preference)

thanks :), I like the look of the font so wont be changing that unless I get some serious complaints from users of my website :)

I still need to make the "banners" better, the images used on some pages arent great, was thinking of going for a vector type illustration with some nice bright colors, but Im not an illustrator.

I agree vector images are alot nicer and more professional, if you're not much an illustrator you may want to look for someone who'll be willing to do them for you. A friend of mine outsourced to a illustrator he found on the web and the guy had just started up, he didn't charge a great deal he just wanted recognition on the site as a form of advertising. If I can get the contact I'll let you know.

not bad.. I would consider this a good example of the 2.0 design style.

Oh I pretty much like the simpleness of your site. While navigating trough the pages, I didn't have any problems with colors of anything, the only page I'd say you should work on..is the main page.
Needs some more colour imo, or just something to detail it a bit..it looks a lil bit empty.

imnage quality is kinda lacking. Nothing on the site seems really sharp.
