Globe footwear product catalogue cover, just as the title says.. i made this one not too long ago.. tell me what you think.. if you are not familiar with globe. its a skate footwear company. :)

I like it. It says everything it needs to. Only thing I might change is the logo and text at the top left is a little close to the edge. Works fine at the bottom even touching but not so well at the top.

When I hear "skate" i think something fun/trash/dynamics, flashy colours, crazy.
Your design cover is a little quiet from my point of view.

I see where you coming from.. but when a brand wants to make fashionable shoes.. only fashion and clarity comes to my mind. I value you opinion, thanks.

the brown type is killing it man. I can't even read the type below CATALOGUE. You might want to reconsider on a lighter shade of brown maybe? eye drop on those shoes ;)

I agree on the brown, and on Toons opinion about having the top left text too close to the top edge.

I like the overall mood of the advert, as it somehow brings me back to my skating days... Bright afternoon sun, dust all over the clothes, tired, sweaty but satisfied for finally nailing that trick, with my shoes on the ground and getting some cooling wind on my feet.

Something still bothers me in addition to those I mentioned, as I'm somewhat familiar with the Globe brand, this somehow got a too grungy feel to it, even though the design is minimal. It might be the "suffocating" shadows under the shoes, which could need some lightnening in order the brighten up the mood a bit. I somehow get the feeling that those shoes will break as soon as I throw one ollie, and because of that the shadow is used to cover up the cheap materials in the shoe ;)

EDIT: Oh yeah, maybe adding some yellow on the overall color balance instead of the red, could make it more appealing to the "consumers". Because I don't think Globe as a hardcore, aggresive brand - which the red is making it look like.

Actually I think the brown overall is killing it. Either the shoes need to be a different color to contast better with the ground behind it, or whiten them up. But whitening them up defeats the purpose of getting down and dirty, so I would look for another color shoe. I also agree with changing the brown color on the type. Overall very nice design.
