You can use this:
Description of the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility I've used it before when i've had problems uninstalling stuff. Then you can either delete the files normally, or re-install google desktop and try to uninstall it again to make sure you got rid of everything.

heh, got rid of it manually, all gone now - although i had a few issues with noscript (besides it being a bal ache to configure) and adblock, but that's sorted now have you tried the All-in-One Sidebar Add-on, frekin awesome :)
