Firefox. Faster, safer, better, nicer, supports more code (esp Java). Although if you designer cross-browser the latter shouldn't be a problem. I too always have IE open when designing, and Opera when I need to...
Still FF though...

When's the new opera out? It's meant to be quite impressive that's why they delayed it so long

Instead of keeping IE open when i design, i use the IE Tab plugin for firefox (lets u switch between rendering in the Firefox or Internet Explorer engine in firefox)

Hows opera stackup against firefox?

Microsoft will release the first beta of Internet Explorer 8 in the first half of 2008 that will have full support for web standards. And the new browser will be known as “Windows Internet Explorer 8″.
Website designers will be able to write websites based on standards, insert a flag that tells IE to render in IE8 standards mode, and IE will then switch its rendering engine to use this new mode.

Thus IE8 won’t break the layout of existing websites coded for previous versions of IE (IE7 or IE6, for example). They’ll behave in exactly the same way in IE8 unless website designers opt-in to IE8 standards mode by placing a simple tag at the head of their HTML document.
It is not immediately clear if Windows IE8 will be available for Windows 2000 and XP versions

I heard that IE8 will come with a technician who'll go around to all computers running IE6 and below, slap the owners of those computers really hard with a weighted glove and forcefully upgrade their browsers for them. All free of charge.

Isn't that nice of them?

Yes, i love that feature. I just wish there was a "save session" button. Sometimes i want to (or need to) close firefox down but don't want to lose all the tabs i have open. I force-quit the application instead of the normal closing method at those times and it let's me re-use the previous session.
Quick and dirty, but it works.
