Default newb help with IE6 hack

OK, see Home - EseeGan Multimedia in any browser but IE6. Then compare 6. My background img repeat doesn't show up on all the pages, and my left vertical nav menu doesn't show up on the left side where I would expect it.

I'm quite new to web design, and I wasn't thinking that what I was doing would need a hack (FF3 is my main browser).

Ideas?

Reset your margins/padding in your CSS

if by reset you mean set them to 0, I just tried as per your idea, and it didn't change anything (besides the empty space inside the borders to the left of the nav tabs). IE6 still has it floating in the middle of the page.
Why doesn't someone write a botnet virus to completely eradicate and remove all systems with IE6? lol.

You should still reset your margin/padding if you're testing in IE6 anyway

resetting the margins/padding was not the answer. It fixed another problem I had though.
So there are still two things that remain:
- missing background on 'home', 'about', 'jobs' and 'contact' (I've tried various z-index values)
- navigation menu under 'services' and 'projects' not appearing on the left. (I'm just stumped)

My client is on his way over right now to discuss some other details...hopefully I can get this resolved today.

Default complete and working

Well I just got it complete and uploaded to the client's host. Home - EseeGan Multimedia
The nav menu being offset to the right was due to a center align I had in the body {...} rule, and the drop-downs...well I don't know what was wrong...I just used htmldog's version of the suckerfish example and his script, and it worked. The missing background still boggles me. I tricked it into showing up by putting in an empty comment "<!-- -->" after my <div id="content"> for each page. beats me...but I'm glad it works now.
