Helvetica neutral?

All running at the same time, that's the idea of fontbook, why turn them on and off when you can have them running all the time, mac's now have the power and memory to call the fonts when you need them, PS and Illy startup slow for the first run but then it's fine

I always had the issue with word actually. not that you need it much but still. I'd question out of nearly 3000 fonts, how many you use?

I've used over 600 just today in the last 9 hours

Seriously? mmmmmmm are you counting weights here also? That averages a font a minute so I think you might exaggerating a tad.

Why? The job I'm working on at the moment has 12 fonts on it

Not running to the rule of no more that 3 fonts on a piece of work then? hehe

With the logo work, I'd not be surprised if you considered many many fonts, but actually used is a bit different.

How many jobs did you do a day at your old place?

Not nearly as many as you, and plus my boss had a helvetica fixation, so nearly everythign used it. Was that or FS Albert or many Trajan. Which covered all the major clients. Seeing as your more rapid turnover clients, your exposure will be much higher. Never knew it would be as high as that. Out of 3000 though, got to be some favourites and some right monsters. and a fair chunk that are great for limited uses?

Also because we now have 4 studios, people who use fonts in their work have to supply them for us to use, no point in loading them in everytime so it's better to have them all installed.

Out of say 60 jobs in a day you can always expect to install some new font or a variation that's needed.
