Default Font Management Software

Does anyone know of a good, relatively cheap, font management software for the Macintosh. I am not really excited about my fontbook and need something that will organize and turn on and off the fonts a little better.
Thanks
Mitch

I am using OSX.3 I dont think I want to update until 10.5 comes out. I just wish there was something easier to use.

I thought the idea behind the new OS fontbook was you didn't need to open or close fonts, unlike before you can have like 20,000 active fonts and the only thing it slows a little is starting up a program

I am running photoshop CS1 and it has an issue with only being able to use like 500 fonts. I dont have enough money to update to CS2. That is why I have to disable fonts.

And thanks ianm for the post I will look into that software.

yeah i used Font Xplorer as well; I've got over 10 thousand fonts. One thing I have an issue with is when I'm at work, I have to kill my Internet connection before opening font Xplorer because it tries to make some type of socket connection or something and if i have my internet active it throws an error and crashes (my guess is my company's firewall is blocking the port, and the program doesn't know how to handle the issue) because it does not happen when I'm at home.

that's a weird one, the only time it will ask for internet connection if it's checking for updates really
