Default Graffiti on me.

Hi all,

I'm about to have a new Tattoo, but struggling to find a typeface I like - any suggestions? It's going to be the following quote; "Resistance is feasible even to those not heroes by nature" on my forearm (ideally in one line - about 2cm by 20cm).

If I like, I'll have it done - and you can claim the dubious honour of defacing a stranger over the internet :P (and also earn the hatred of my mother).

Mark.

depends what you want. old english like every one else whos ever gotten words tattooed on them, something really way out thats hard to read or something modern that may end up looking really dated in 2 years. tottoo design is something ive got alot of experience in and am now hated by a number of parents! hehe!

I think I want to avoid the usual tattoo fonts. I guess something too quirky and modern might also be a mistake, but I want something fairly 'neat'. Looking through the 'favourite fonts' thread, I'm liking where Democratica, Generation Gothic, Scala Sans and Triplex are going. But then I wonder whether they'd look the same on skin as on paper/screen

if you want me 2 email you the wording in numerous diff fonts then let me know. one thing you do need to remember that that lovely shiny black that you leave the tattooists with will last about 24hours till the scab forms and then depending which ink hes used, it will go greeny-black or blue-black! also fonts with a fine line to them will just about vanish on skin. bold but not too bold is the key!

Dave, that would be brilliant - it's mark(at)learnsomestuff(dot)com

If you have Triplex Sans Bold, could you include that too - it's what I'm edging towards at the moment (although I also like the first two in your sample).

I've already got a couple of tattoos - though none of text as yet. I actually kind of like the faded colour in that example - I'd prefer it subtler than the jet black.

Be aware that the partially sighted may also want to read it
