I think most of use encountered this scenario where you have a limited box with a lot of names with different lengths.. how do you usually resolve it?

I've been thinking when i saw this Boxing match and they showed the players name inside a box, one of the name their name was a bit long so they forcedly compress the font like 80%. The compression is a bit obvious, it kinda destroyed the type.

I always hate the scenario, cos it makes me compress the fonts too. Sometimes I use a narrowed version of the font, But sometimes it also has a different look compare to it's normal face.

When your stuck to this type of problem, what are your solutions?
