Default How many....

I admit I am a font addict..

How many fonts do you have installed right now?
Do you use a font manager (not sure if Mac's have that)?

..and how many do you think is TOO many?

yeah I currently have about 13000+ fonts activated..
One thing that is of note (back to the MAC-PC issue).. fonts WILL bring a PC to it's knees if they are all installed in the Windows-->Fonts directory on a machine with under a gig of memory and a slow processor.

that is the one thing i hate about osx - the way the system fonts are you have them in three locations, which rediculous, then you gotta contend with the duplicates in those areas you can't remove them

linotype FontExplorer is the best font management app around, beats suitcase et al hands down - plus it's free from linotype

interesting.. I'll look at it. I jsut use Adobe's type manager for th emeanwhile. I don't have a great big need to worry about jockeying fonts around. In the PC world, I've gotten used to where they should go & how to impliment them to keep the system running optimally. Mine show available in every program I open and have no degridation in system performance...
