Google Local Business Search

Ok, who else is a little annoyed at Google for making the local business search 10 results.

Not only that, some of those results are not even related or alive.. i.e dead links. These sites are also no where to be found in the natural order of things. Bitter? Yes :)

This might be old news as this happend in Jan/early feb but it seems that this is killing alot of mine and others efforts as the average punter would naturally click on one of these before scrolling down to the actual top results.

I know there are ways to get to the top of the local business search but I just wanted to rant and rave a bit as this has really got my goat.

If you make sure you enter yours everytime google update you should appear there, I got my card last week

Google will probably update there local search data once infousa release there UK database later this year. So the data will be much more accurate.

i'm hoping our UK site will give more relevant results, when we launch it later this year sometime. Keep your eyes peeled.
