Help! Can't get SEO working on my website.

I'm more of a Graphic Designer, so I don't know much about Website Design.
The other day I was talking with a website designer, and he mentioned that he used SEO to market his website.

Sounded great, so I've looked it up, and wrote some code for my website.

Problem is: I'm sure I wrote it right, but when I search for my website in Google it doesn't appear.

I want to change the description seen when you search Kimberley Creative in Google.

If someone could look at the source code of my website and give me tips, that would be very helpful.

The first thing about SEO is that there are no set ways to achieve great ratings, it's a combination of small things but the most importantly is to look at the site how google would.....

That is what google uses to work out what you do and where to rank you. I only see the word Graphic Design once, ideally this should be the more dominant word set on your page. It should also be place in header tags. Ideally your H1 should be 'Graphic Design - Melbourne Australia' This is what potential clients are searching for, nobody is searching for Kimberley Creative so ranking for this is pointless. Aim for your main keywords and a location. For example it would be pointless for me to try and rank the forum for the word 'Estetica' as nobody is searching for it, people are looking for 'Graphic Design Forum'

Look at the keyword highlight map and the internal linking structure and you can see exactly why it's easy for google to tell what it is and how they can rank it.

In bound links are very important also, google doesn't find any for your domain, so working on building links would help alot....

Excellent points Toon, and I would only like to add that on your site Kimberly you are not using any headings for your sections. Like Toon pointed out, at the very least you should be weighting your H1 tag with solid information that describes the bulk of your page.

Overall though, SEO is aided big time by good, clean markup that describes your content as best it can. The more you put in, the more you will get out.

Toon.... the 2nd link you put in your post above to check the keywords on your site, whats the link so i can check this on my site?? and if its part of google's analytics or webmaster tools where can i find it??

For what keywords? You have to type the keywords in google and then clicked on the Cached button for example....

No mystic I just read what Google write, they never actually try to hide anything, it's when you try to cheat them you're in for a bumpy ride. Fair and Informative search results are all they are after.

you need to know what keyword will you targeted for the search engine. Your Content must contain 3 - 8% main keyword.

Grab a quality back link for your site, get a good link partner with page rank : 3

Write article, use press release, submit to directories, or use signature in a forum with anchor text. your website will be have a high ranking in the search engine.
