How can I get more links to my website to show up on Google SERP.

Hi guys, :)

I have looking at the links that link back to my website from various search engines and I can't understand something. Google, is the best search engine, but it only shows that 4 sites link back to mine... I have at least 50 different sites pointing back to my site and other search engines pick that info up except Google. Even my own company website doesn't come up in the linkback list provided be Google and I have placed the link there personally 2 years ago!!!

Do you know why this is happening? Is there something that I can do to help boost by linkbacks in Google SERP?

Google only shows quality link backs, any free directories or buried links aren't considered valuable enough.
Also I think it only shows pages with a PR of 3+ as a quality link, it's to stop people getting link backs on the cheap.

Hmmm, well my company has a page rank of 4 and it still doesn't show up as a backlink to my personal website. But for some, not all, client websites, Google shows my company having a backlink to them.
Isn't that weird?

My company website is x2interactive, Web Agency ::Twice as good, twice as fast:: x2 interactive. Interactive Web Design and my personal website is Spyros Papaspyropoulos [DESIGNS], Greek Designer, Freelance Web Designer, Flash Animator, Greek Web Designer, HTML Tutor, Web Specialist, Athens Designer, Athens Web Designer. I have a link to my personal website in the clients > personal section.

Shows 55 on the first page, then changes, it will be discounting the weaker links

Yeah, those are the x2interactive.co.uk results.
But the papaspyropoulos.com results are 4.

The problem is most of the links here are buried

1 even 2 or 3 links in so they are not strong enough for google to count as a decent link back.

Also sites like this have place titles 'Pakistan' if you have a title saying greece google knows this doesn't add up

Ok I see, so it is complicated with Google... Well, the good thing is that from what I can tell, Yahoo! inLinks count in Google PageRank, else my personal website wouldn't have a PageRank of 4. Or am I wrong?

You can have a good Pagerank with only 5 good incoming links it doesn't increase with 100's only a few good ones.

I personally believe google strickness on links is a good thing as it stops people cheating the Search Engine. If you concentrate on having good quality links you'll be fine.
