Default Web directory submission!

I've started to make SEM for our Web Design Company Cratima
and one of the problems I am confronting with is that there is
a fee difference between different web directories on the web.

I can submit our site to free web directories, reciprocal link directories,
and paid directories.

Now, my question is: is there really a difference between this submissions?
I mean, does Google index your site depending on the amount of money you pay a web directory site? Or do this paid web directories offer services that help Google index your site better?

Google ignores most directories as the page that is linking to you has a low PR, get a link on there home page and you are ok, if it is buried it's a waste of time.

it has also been known for Google to drop your page rank just for associating with such sites. though i'm not sure if they still do this, it was a few years ago when i encountered such policy.

Hello Cratima, I got google alert for directory submission and felt to register here to reply to your answer.

I run a Web Directory submission company nBridges Media - OutSource your SEO work to Us | nBridges - SEO Company for SEO Services and Consultancy and get many directory submission from my clients.Without sounding biased, IMO, free directory submission is one of the best of way if getting cheap links. Of course you won't get very high quality links from them.

Being a webmaster too, I have also spend hundreds of dollars on getting links from paid directories like alive and aviva. I feels, if you are looking for long term goals than you should go ahead and submit to paid directories. Infact since google has hit Alive and Aviva for getting involved in link purchasing, and if you are really looking to purchase high quality directory link, I will highly advice you to go for Yahoo directory. It may cost you $300 but I think for long term, its worth it.

As far as indexing question is concerned, You can easily get it indexed by making a sitemap and submitting to Google webmaster and Yahoo Explorer.

I hope this helps you.
Regards

The sitemap of Cratima web site is just one link, because the site is entirely made in flash. I hope we will release a HTML version very soon.
