It's hard to say what's good because SEO techniques change week to week, but seriously the best place is Google's webmaster section. They tell you exactly what they're looking for and most of it is basic stuff that hasn't changed much in the last year. Sitemaps, feeds, contently changing content etc.

the company that currently employee's me had 1 SEO guy about a year ago. We now have a team larger then my production team. Organic Placement is changing so drastically day in and day out that anyone to write a book would be outdated before they published it.

the ultimate SE tip would be referrers. That the best way to bump a site .

Any other tips i give you would probably be depricated before i hit "submit reply"
