Default bash vs. bourne vs. tsch vs. ???

I'd very interested in linux shell scripting, and wonder how essential it is to know one, two, three or more different shell scripting languages. So far I have been playing around with bash only. I understand that bourne scripts will work in bash, but not necessarily vice versa. tcsh seems very appealing, but I don't know C, and tcsh isn't exactly C, but some variation of C??? I'm preparing myself for setting up a web server, and want to educate myself as much as necessary.
