Photo of the Month Comp - May '08

For any newbies out there who fancy taking a shot at Estetica imortality and claiming a POTM award, here are the rules you'll need to follow...

Only one entry each month
Photo must have been taken that month
(please be honest as I have no way of checking)
No Photoshop editing
(true images only please - although watermarks are allowed should the photographer feel it necessary)

A winner will be picked at the end of each month by a highly regarded photography expert, failing that I guess I'll be choosing

Also comments on other people entries are very much welcomed, although please be as constructive as possible.

So one final thing... Go get busy snapping

Spring has finally arrived - Nokia 95 Mobile

This is a 5inch gauge model steam loco taken at the in-laws house. Very pleased with the depth of field effect here. The Big Red Lever just sits there in the middle of the frame.

Thank you. Was shot with a Nikon P5000 in Raw. A few adjustments to saturation, exposure and temperature to give it a sepia effect

Ahhh - Arkady and I were having quite a debate on how the colouring on the picture was achieved! It is really nice. Well done Joe.
