I've had a go on my mates I' was surprised how powerful they are for the size of them.
has anyone got one of these? are you happy with the power?
I'm craving a dual monitor setup and don't want to spend £2,000 on a mac pro if possible...

Decided against the Mac mini, as my only real motivation for it was to re-create a dual-screen monitor setup that I once had.
Space saving little beauts though

OK. I am a bit biased. Between the s/o and I, we have 2 iMacs, 2 powerbooks (13") and one powerbook pro I use on the road. I actually have a mini in my office at work (a security lab at my university) and when I found out it wasn't even a dual-processor, my first instinct was to complain. But you know, its actually really good. Only 1.83ghz and it runs better (without those nasty BSODs) than I would have expected. You can find them on ebay for super cheap since Apple recently released a newer mini. Upgrade it with an extra gig of ram to the max 2gb (correct me if I'm wrong about that) and throw on an iomega 1tb drive for $200 and you have a great machine. Don't get me wrong, the mac pros are enough to cause nerdgasms, but unless you're doing loads of movie editing, the upgraded Mini is perfect.
Just saw your bit about the dual-screen. Stop. Do not buy a PC for that reason. For my setup I got a Matrox DualHead2Go. Its less than $150 and lets you get that dual-screen setup youre wanting.
I think the new mini is a big jump though isn't it? Espec for graphics?
