    Yahoo Mail Stopped Working

Maybe now's the time to move to gmail, I've paid for yahoo mail for 2 years and never had an issue now all of a sudden, when I go to login I just get a white screen and it keeps loading nothing.

I've searched all around the net for people who have had similar problems but nothing works, it doesn't work in any browser but works perfectly on my Mac. So I'm thinking it's a windows update either, search and destroy or bit defender. I've uninstalled S&D so I don't think it's that, any ideas windows peeps?

Try disabling your Firewall/Anti-Virus/Internet Security... often that blocks a lot of sites, inadvertently. I have issues with mine on several sites; i.e: allowing me to see a Captcha image if its loaded from another site, getting onto other secured servers, etc.

Just tried disabling it and still not working, I've tried everything the web tells you to, disabling firewall, deleting cookies, clearing cache etc. but still nothing.

I've got to get this sorted as I pay for Yahoo mail because it's the best, I've got it importing into Googlemail for now so I can still access it from my PC. The problem is I know very little about the windows OS, am I right in believing that if any of the firewall/virus programs have created a rule to block Yahoo, these could still be on my system and adopted by windows as a rule even though I've deleted the program?

I've done this before where I've used a temp FTP program, deleted it after I was done, downloaded it again 6 months later and it remembered all my settings as windows stores alot of stuff even when programs are gone?

How can I access or delete these rules created that could be blocking my mail app? I know it's a system thing rather than a browser thing as it does it on all browsers.

Update Flash to the latest version if you haven't already. My girlfriend had this issue on her work laptop as she always uses Yahoo! and they seem to have updated it recently and because she doesn't have admin rights to her work laptop it didn't update automatically.

Dam, was just a thought. Perhaps there was something else that was needed to be installed to get it to work, perhaps one of the Windows updates. I honestly can't remember, but she did get it working again. I'll ask her later.

My missus uses Yahoo mail but not the paid ajax web mail, do you mean the free web mail or does she pay yearly for the service?

Ah, I think it's the free one, I wasn't aware they were two different things. But isn't the free one Ajax too?

To a certain extent but it's not like the paid option, imagine a real mail program that is web based.
