Im getting an imac tomorow and want to password protect my wireless internet network...Im using Windows XP and the Router is being run off this machine.

I need to just plainly add a password to the internet connection so that no one without the password can access it...

what kind of router are you using? because if you are using one which lets you lock it down to MAC (as in Media Access Control, not as in Apple Mac) Addresses then that is more secure that a wep or wpa key because they can be hacked if someone near is so inclined.

:)

ah thats the one ive got! which is excellent cause i know exactly how to lock it down to mac addresses, doing that makes it skitz out if you do it in firefox so use IE. pm me if you wan me to send instructions on how to do the mac address thing... it's easier and more secure than a password :)
