Not sure if people agree with me on this but I'm a big believer in URL power. If you're a designer try and get a company name and your domain to at least contain the word design somewhere. As far as site traffic goes people will find you again and again.

Say:

www.rude-cube.com with the title as rude-tube web designs.

would maybe still appear below:

www.rudecude-webdesign.com with the title as rude-tube web designs.

Mainly because a keyword is contained in the url.

Thats one of the reasons i like Scandinaviandesigns... as i have the word designs in there.... hmmm... it will be interesting to see what consensus of opinion on here turns out to be...

Hey flashwiz, dude if you don't have the .com any traffic you get or try to boost by advertising will simply get filterd to the .com not the other way around. It's simply a known fact.

If you plan to limit your market to Scandinavia or what not then it makes sense to use Scandinaviandesigns, but if it's a normal online thing then dude, why the word Scandinavian???? because you are? lmao i'd have to make a site called halfbritishquarterfrenchquarteregyptianDesigns.com if that was the case.

I say pick a short name, with design in it if you must, and remeber it's not the url that does the talking :cool2:
