Default Graphic Design Diploma

well, i'm thinking about taking a graphic design course, which in 9 months, they'll give a certified diploma.
everyone tell me whatcha think? do you think I should go for it or try something else?

If graphic design is what you want to do it'll be a good idea to do a course it might open your eyes to lots of options that go along with any kind of design.

i got a Bachelor in Fine Arts a few years back, focus was in "electronic imaging" (computer animation)

Now, after 4 years of college it something you only get what you take from it. It gave me access to several applications 24/hours a day for free (flash, dreamweaver, photoshop, illustrator, quark , after effects) also helped me gain an understanding of the more traditional aspects (figure drawing, typography, graphic design)

They showed me different ways to approach things, and in a class environment exposed me a wide variety of people with different strengths and ideas.

You might want to check the acceptance of the diploma that's being offered. If this is a commercially run course, you don't want to spend a lot of time and money, only to find out later that no potential employer is interested in your diploma. More importantly though is the quality of what you will learn. Try to get in touch with some people that have completed the course and now have established, successful careers in the industry.
