Man Illustrator CS3 gets proper touchy if you have any corrupt fonts on, had to delete loads before I could even start it.

Here's a silly question, I have upgrades for CS3, but after they're installed can I delete my CS2 software or do I need it?
I don't think you'd need it.
But explain more so i can say for sure. What are the upgrades?

I bought Adobe CS1 Premium then upgraded to CS2 and now I've installed CS3, I kept all the other software on just in case but I'm not sure if I need to or not
