I think the forum moderates itself well enough as it is...

There are enough of us out there who spot the junk and address it accordingly. There is no need to introduce more rules. I have no problem with people posting links to their sites and asking for critique. I feel if you don't like the practice of noobs posting links and asking for help, then don't participate in the process.

I have a difficult time in general with other people trying to control the way things are run, telling us what we can and can't do... just let it run its course and the natural order will determine the way.

The point I'm making is that giving tips and critique is fine, but it's better to introduce yourself first.

I think people know the rules pretty quick it's their reaction that usually defines them!

It's amazing how many people you can catch before they even post!

nahh.. forced rules and mandated requirements are all a bit too "Big Brother"for my liking. This forum is one of the best out there because it is so open, and thus it remains very friendly for the most part.

And I think you'll agree that we're very good at weeding out the prized potatoes from the shrivelled prunes!

Um a post count could be, yes. I saw members only join to get their site critiqued but they don't reply back, which is a form of advertising. There should be a minimum post count that lets members post in that area.
