Default Creative Ambiance?

How important workplace is, in creative industry like advertising and graphic design companies? I need to have your opinion about this question for a little survey I made .

I've been working in design firm for almost two years now and for me its a great factor to have healthy and calm ambiance for me to have unique and great ideas since that's what my job is all about...

Any thoughts?

Try working in the print industry there's no such thing as ambiance! It all depends on what sort of person you are.

I like a lot of inspiration around me. My walls are covered with art, designs, ads, photography, and more.

And if that wasnt enough, my desk is covered with toys.

I think workspace is a huge factor for most people in the creative industry. Aside from hardcore programmers anyway. The company I work for just moved into a new million dollar loft style office from an old, rundown motel looking office and our creative productivity has doubled. Everyone seems more happy, more enthusiastic. We attribute 100% of it to the nicer digs. Designers are such visual people it only makes sense that we would be highly responsive to our working environments.

Yes I agree, in creative industry were unique ideas is a must it is a very important factor the people in this kind of job has the laid back and stress free environment that enables them to break out of the shell design wise.

"I guess the moral of the story is, when your truly happy in your design environment, you put forth the effort to make a mark for yourself in the field and really strive to be the best you can be in all areas of design for that feeling of self worth and accomplishment, its a win win situation for a company to provide a good working environment."
