i will never stop buying cd's..you can't compare a burned cd with a bought one..i love the booklet and the joy of buying it...and since i have a music studio and am a sound-freak i need the quality of bought cd's compared to mp3's...(it feels like my english sucked in this post but i guess that you guys understand the stupid swede ;)..)

I don't think it'll happen.. the sound quality of a CD is so much better than an MP3. There will always be those audio snobs like me around to buy them :)

Also, it looks like they only stopped selling CD singles, not full albums, right? Of course, I do buy my CD's on Amazon.. haven't set foot in a retail shop in years.

I have about 20 cd's and around 4000 mp3's, so CD's can just hurry and die in my opinion. I love my music!
My mp3 player needed charging the other day but I was going to bed so I decided to dig out a cd, but my cd player is sort of old and I had to this whole big routine to get the cd going (turn it off, open the door, breathe on the cd, blow on the lens, turn the volume all the way down). It reminded me of being a kid before I knew what mp3s were.

Same here, totally. I'd rather look at a wall of cases with complete sleeves, art etc than have all my music just on my PC. I make a point of buying CDs, HMV.com (where I get all my music from) keep offering me downloads, but I always decline and get the CD :)
