Omg, poor lad :(
Mate thats quite soft compared to some of the things written under the Yahoo! news item. Made me ashamed to be English (ie: Anti German rubbish), never mind a human being
I work in the transport industry,we deal with this shit all the time. You constantly hear of people being hit by trains and losing body parts or dying; it happens at least twice a year. Last year a colleague (from the British Transport Police) had to have six months off of work after he attended the scene of an attempted murder where a young couple were walking along the tracks by a tunnel; the sick **** decided to try and pull his girlfriend under a train, they were both hit but neither died instantly. The officer in question had to switch between both of them doing CPR in a vain attempt to keep them alive. Luckily she survived. And that comment was for what?
We have to deal with the fallout from it, so forgive me if I try to make light of the situation rather than cry about it. Enke wanted to die, my colleague didn't want to see people die. I have no sympathy for people that don't give a **** about their actions.
My opinions are my own and in no way reflect the company that I work for.
i wholly agree, stepping in front of a train has got to be the most selfish things you can do (along side buses, cars, trucks etc) because not only do you leave the driver feeling responsible (even if it's in no way their fault), you also cause them possible danger and/or harm and if you're causing the driver danger and/or harm then you are doing worse to the helpless and innocent passengers. and you're doing all this, not for some credible or forgivable cause, but literally to end your own misery, something personal to you, which no-one else can help you with because they often didn't know about it in the first place. and who knows if the driver/half the passengers had known about his issue (i don't know what it was as i didn't read it all) then they perhaps would have tried to help.
ok, so even though i have got a lot more to say on the subject...

Suicide sucks, but there's no sense being angry at the guy over it.
(except for that attempted murder perhaps. That's messed up.)
Subtlety is my middle name... and first and last in case you didn't get the point.

I'm not necessarily angry at this particular dude, just the fact that some people see fit to use public transport as a means to their end. and yeah, suicide of any kind really sucks.
I don't see why people are being disrespectful towards him and his life, he lost his daughter a couple of years ago and was battling depression. He was suicidal, touch wood none of us ever feel that way and i wouldn't want to understand how being suicidal feels.
He was my keeper in Fifa :(
