Craiglist founder launches scathing attack on print
May 09, 2007 11:46:00 GMT Internet entrepreneur Craig Newmark, the man behind the phenomenally successful classifieds service craigslist.com, condemned the print industry as “screwed” during his opening remarks at the Newspaper Association of America’s annual conference. |
yeah well... I tend to think he's probably correct about the newpapers and if you look elsewhere you'll see more about the media industry in general. .
I for one am glad to see a competitve market to the print media as most print is controlled by 3 or 4 major media conglomerates. They will always have their loyal following, but then again so does the National Inquirer and most fiction based paperback rags. ..and more importantly if anyone thinks the TV news or newspapers and periodicals are in the biz to tell a story, they are sadly mistaken. Like I tell my kids.. TV is the noise between the commercials. Most designers are doomed.. just tools set in place to perpetuate propagana for one machine or another. |
yeah, it is scrwed
