Has anyone heard lightening from that sort of distance? That's the scariest part.

I've heard lightning from pretty close (and felt the compression wave it caused), so i can imagine what that would be like. I don't think this video's real though.
The area is dark and overcast. A handheld camera pointed at light as bright as lightning (and a bolt that wide) would most likely completely white, or compensate for the intensity by letting in less light. That camera didn't do either. So it's either fake or that lightning's intensity is weaker than i thought possible for lightning of that size.
Subtlety is my middle name... and first and last in case you didn't get the point.
