That's why we're starting to double the speed of our top broadband package up to a supersonic 20Mb.
It's for downloaders of big files, if you're only browsing it will stay on the level most of the time

anyone using sky for internet? i'm currently on bt's "up-to 8mb" broadband and sy has 2mb broadband. thing is, i hardly get 2 mb as it is as i'm too far away from the interchange. so what i'm asking is, is it any good? as the package of sky tv, telephone and bb sounds attractive when i get my own place

From the design side.. I still try to design everythnig to load fast for dial-up users.
I live in a VERY remote area and even though I am often working with highspeed connections, I am often stuck with a cr*ppy dial-up as is about 60% or more of the US landmass.

Your ADSL connection depends on how far you are from the exange.
At the moment I'm staying at my parents house in Surrey (country) which is far from London (City) so I only get 2MB which is actually devided amoungst 5 other computers, so it's even slower :S

Tip: Never go with BT they suck, and don't buy a Netgear router, they suck aswell lol

\i've just changed to it, its no different to NTL (virgin media) broadband. It seems a little faster for downloads but other than that its stready, I only had problems on the first day with the wirless loosing signal, but it was only once and since then its been connected constant without any hiccups (i may have messed up on the setup by setting it up too soon or something)
Also you get a lovely little white wireless router with pretty green flashing lights. i Love it!
