Default Monitor Related Prob

Guys,

Ned some help here...

Well, a friend got a new monitor. Ubuntu display its native resolution, 1028x1024, but Windows XP won't. Tried all the resolutions, but none of them are right. So now everything is stretched, which is a disaster for a web designer.

Anybody idea how to fix it?

Thanks.

Have you tried updating/reinstalling your video drivers?

Yeah, your/the graphics card is at fault. I had a similar problem and it was my g.card that just wouldn't hack it.

Get the latest driver from the graphics card manufacturer... Use the tools from your graphics card driver's software to set the resolution (not Windows)
Also you might go to the monitor's site and get their driver from them. Thats best for when you start your color calibration, etc.
