Default Macbook or Macbook Pro?

Hello. I know this has been argued in many places and so on. As well, I am sorry if this shouldn't go here, etc.

I'll be getting a laptop this year, and I have decided I want a Mac.

I -will be- a Graphic design student next, so I will be using design programs. I already know and use some programs, mostly Photoshop and some Flash, but I am sure there are a lot of other programs which I am ignoring {For instance, I lack practice at Illustrator and any Movie-editing program}.

I currently have a PC.. 160GB and 516MB of RAM. Pentium III. Yes, it's old. I can't run Photoshop with a 30MB+ file for more than a couple of hours {I have files which take almost 20 minutes to open, and 25 minutes to save. This is not particulary comfortable}. I can't edit movies which last more than minutes, and Flash files which aren't simple animations in avatars, may collapse as well. As well, my current PC has a small screen, this is what I am used to, and I normally dislike gigantic screens.

I am still not a student, so I am not completely sure of what I will eventually use, but I guess that since most people in here know about Graphic Design, which is what I'll be using the laptop for, know about the programs which are used.

I am going for a laptop, what I essentially need is the possibility of moving it around, so an iMac is not an option. However, I am still debating if the $1000 difference between a standard MB Pro and a 2GB Macbook justify the characteristics of the MB Pro {Graphic Card, wider screen?, etc}.

Thanks :3

I think the mac book will be more than enough for what you need for now

That's the problem. I am not sure if I will be able to buy a MB Pro {plus they don't sell them where I live, nor I could buy it via IE because they won't ship it. -_-u}.

I think I'll stay with the Macbook, and add RAM if it's needed -I'm thinking of buying the 2GB MB, though- At least for now.

Thanks.
