I'm reading 'Blood of the Fold' by Terry Goodkind. He's not a very good writer and it's quite predictable, but it's mindless entertainment.
Next on my list is Excession by Iain M. Banks, then Fear and Loathing.

I've been getting really interested in Hunter S. Thompson lately. I saw the movie of 'Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas' years ago and just recently watch 'Where the buffalo roam', both fantastic movies. There's another one coming out in 2009 too:

I bet you a tenner Lead that you can't read the book without putting on the Hunter S Thompson Voice in your head as you read, it's impossible once you've seen the films, but it adds to the entertainment value of the book.

I bet you're right, but i wouldn't want to, he's got such an amazing personality. Definitely adds to the entertainment.
