Default Who says Firefox isn't becoming the more popular browser

Just thought this was an interesting stat I keep an eye on with my site.

I keep praying the rest of the world catches up

I'm guessing a lot of those are CSS Globe and Stumble Upon users

TBH I have seen Firefox go first on some of our sites to, and those are 3/4k uniques sites not relating to webmaster stuff.
Overall IE is still winner for market share but it's so close these days I bet they are shitting it.

guess that could very well be it.. I actually thought of that, but I am having hopes that it is more than JUST that.

And yeah, Diablos, I was looking at the stats across the board and both W3CSchools and W3Counter are reporting encouraging results.

The only way is to spread the word... The vast majority of internet users had IE pre-installed on their machines and are unaware that there is a better, free alternative browser out there.

Then you have people like my brother who drives me nuts.. says he's used to IE and won't change. If its a problem, we should design pages for IE since it is installed on every PC & that PC's outnumber other OS by 10 fold... ugggggghhhh!!!

It's like my mum and dad - my mum told me the other day about this new browser she's found called Firefox! I have been trying to get her off IE and onto Firefox for ages now! But I bet she's still using bloody IE! She will think that it's best just because it "comes with the computer"!

The results are only a small cross-section of internet users. The ones who would tend to be interested in your site primarily use FF, whereas for the rest of the world, IE is still more popular.
Browser Statistics
Safari seems to be slowly growing in popularity too, which is unfortunate because i hate it.

I'm shocked to see how low safari is, I thought more people used it than that
