Has anyone ever been? I am heading out there in a few hours and haven't had any time to research the place!

I've never been but we may be heading there later in the year. It's a really nice place. You'll need more than just a few hours. It's nice city break you can get like 5 nights all inclusive 5 star for around £540 for 2 people. Make sure you take time to have dinner there, I love moroccan food

its costing me £600 for 2 people for 7 nights in 4 star. Not too bad. I am going to love it, my gf... not so much!

Yeah there's some great deals. My only issue with going for a week is no beach. I always need a beach. Is it all inclusive?

BB and flights, beach is 45 mins away so will spend a day or three there

i have been there 4 years ago...for 1week

1 week was to much, you have enough for one day...marakech isn't that big!

And it is verry verry verry verry verry dirty! you can't bread form the smoke in the air! everybody is riding motorbikes there.. in the old city it is better, but then there you have a lot of people asking for money, even when you thought you coluld have a nicy and quiet dinner...

I would'nt go back there..but maby that depends on who you are..

I can tell you some tips:
- If you are lost, ask the way at a little child, you pay him like 50cents and he will bring you where you want.
- There is that famous Djemaa el Fna square...be careful there for the monkeys! they put the monkeys on youre shloulder and before you know you're wallet is gone! i saw it a copple of times there!
- if you want to eat cheap! that square is the place to go! you can eat for 3euro's a hole meal!
-do'nt take a taxi but take a callech with horses, much cheaper and nicer!

PWhen you're back, could you tell me how did you find it? I am curious of what other people think of it.

totally agree with you, dirty city full of scary Arab folk trying to get money out of you. Not enough to do in a week, spent most of time by pool as beach was 3 hours away! There are some real nice places to visit, good food and hotel was lovely but the people ruined it for me. Currently sat in a small French cafe with normal people enjoying a beer and surfing the net on my iPhone, as there is nothing else to do.

its about 31 today, i am looking rather tanned just in time for my photoshoot on Saturday, so not a great waste of holiday. Not looking forward to 6 am taxi ride to airport though
