Default A black man (Senetor Obama) or a woman (Senetor Clinton)

I just had to write this as a Brit. Sorry to all the Americans out there but here it is the truth! Spread the word, America is a failed state!

Pryde Design » Blog Archive » A black man (Senetor Obama) or a woman (Senetor Clinton)

LoL!

i think you are far to misinformed and rely too heavily on mainstream media. True there are certain regions in the us which are heavily racist, those areas are more saturated with conservative republicans and won't likely be voting a democrat nominee anyway. The only thing you are basing this "debate" on is the fact that its a black man and white woman, and completely leaving out the fact the both share very similar political views, so whether the us is run by a black man or a white woman is irrelevant in my opinion.

True, but you are an educated American. You see the politics but I think many see the face and don't go further. This is more of a laugh than anything else. It passes the time.

Yes, but you have to remember you're not in America. Therefore you're only getting a washed down media opinion, much of it with a UK slant, and how it will effect us. So new source is without bias, from the subtle (BBC, Guardian etc) to the more overt (the sun, the mirror, the metro) - The fact is, without knowing how this election is being pitched to the common joe, you can't know and therefore make huge statements.

Only certain groups are focusing on the fairly superficial point of the 'first black/female president' - it really makes no difference. They might be seen differently. America, as much of the rest of the world, is still awash with racism and sexism. But with such a mix of population, this is hardly making much of a difference, as another white man going for office.

On a side note, please try and use 'its' and 'it's' correctly. It makes your point much more powerful if you do.

Also in your post, you say it's "Payback Time," like all of a sudden we are going to get one black man in office and he is going to completely change the course of history, but you are forgetting that america is a democratic political system, where even the president can be told no if enough members of congress feel that it's not a good decision.

That is some highly misinformed rubbish. I can't take you seriously until you learn to use correct spelling and grammar.

its not meant to be taken seriously its just an over exaduration of the fact that you are in trouble. Which you must agree you are. With the wars that are going wrong, oil prices rocketing and the economical crisis you must be feeling a little worried about the future?

I think you should be very careful what you say Prydie, and I am not at all sure that this is an appropriate discussion to be having on these boards.

Oh and I would watch your disclaimer:

Quote:
I must stress this is just an entertaining comment current events its is not meant to cause offense and does not potray Pryde Design and its owners opinions.
It is highly likely that this will offend some of our members. And also if it isn't your opinion then whose opinion is it? It would seem to me that you are supporting and attaching yourself to this opinion by publishing it in your blog.

I would also recommend using the spell check a little more often. Oh, and please stop spamming your blog at every opportunity.
