I just get a error, I installed the CODEC tommy game, and the other MPEG-3 codec he posted (I already had installed) in WMP it asks to search for the CODEC but I'm trying to play MP3 on a non-internet machine, so that is not a option for it to d/l a CODEC, which is why I'm asking for the help.

Then you have other problems....
Goto Control Panel--> Sound and Audio Devices--> Hardware (tab)
Scroll down to "Audio Codecs" and select it then "Properties"

Let me know what you have listed in there

There's your MP3 Codec... have you tried playing the song your trying in an alternate player, like winamp or something?

and why WMP 9... I'd go with at least 10, if not 11

Windows Media Player 10

This is pretty odd. I don't think it's a codecs issue. He has the mp3 codecs installed .... Hm ....
