The best decade?

Which decade is your favourite decade when it comes to music?

I can't really decide so for me it's the 70's and the 80's. Those two decades had great musicians and songs that never will be forgotten according to me.

actually an old drunk man yelled at me just an hour ago just because he didn't believe that i liked the beatles =)

but i love the stones aswell

I'm all 60's and 70's classics as well..
There is an old debate over personality and music.. it goes like this. Seems that you can essentially break people down into a couple personality types in life.. they either like the Beatles or Stones.
Draw your own conclusions from that, but i agree there was pivotal movement at that point in the direction that music went.. and like most art, it tends to reflect life, and so went people's attitudes and personal direction.
I'm a Zeppelin guy all the way through, myself. Hey hey what can I do........

I know the feeling. I love Bread, Jim Croce, Dan Fogelburg, etc. Older stuff and I'm 24. Even my mom doesn't believe I like that stuff. But hey it's good music, I'm not sure what the deal is with olds* but they need to relax, we're not stealing they're music and we're not patronizing them. (at least I'm not), We actually like it. Olds, take it easy. We're all friends.

the best decade, hmm, i'm undecided :D i've always liked 80's music - so the 80's, but i'm a big fan of classic rock - so the 60's and 70's too :)

exactly! we're all friends but still the olds think that we're stealing their music. all i want to tell them is "relax, there's plenty to go around, sit down and listen to some oldies with us!" =)

ianmn, im also a huuuuge sucker for the 80's..and like i said earlier in this thread, the 70's aswell =)
