Default Animation to be shown at festival

I got an email this week from the film programmer at Birmingham Arts Fest 2007 and he said he'd seen an animation I did on YouTube and wants to show it at the festival!

There are a few editing issues - it was the first animation I ever tried, kind of experimental really and I only had a webcam and Windows Movie Maker (awful, awful editing program) so after a re-edit to clean it up I will be sending it to him to be shown.

I'm quite excited about it! I never thought anyone would even watch it let alone like it enough to do something with it.

Just goes to show... anything's possible!

The worst part was the editing. Windows Movie Maker is shockingly bad. It couldn't handle the 300-odd photos and kept crashing and I kept losing everything. I think it took about 8 hours to edit in the end and there are parts where it flickers into colour when it shouldn't because Movie Maker is ****.

The second worst part was the nightmares. I was making it for 12 hours a day for 4 days and I kept dreaming that I was trapped in the animation, only able to move a millimetre and then having to wait for a photo to be taken!!! Stop-motion messes with your mind!

Having said all that, I'll be making another one soon :)
