cool concept. i think it might look better in a flat single or two color version. these days when i see a logo with so much gloss, gradients, and shadows, i just think "ugh, another logo on the web 2.0 bandwagon" but don't get me wrong, i understand that is not why you used such effects as they give the logo a real life, 3d look. I just prefer to see logos in simplified versions.

What are the other applications? while I typically like a spot color version of my logos this mark is solid as is.

As was said earlier the gloss does make the mark really stereotypically web 2.0, however in this case the depth really adds to the mark so it does not upset me.

I also find the logotype to be extremely solid, and I love your choice of font. Is there any conceptual reason for the choice, and what typeface is it? The only comment that I have here is in regards to the kerning around the "ill" area maybe this should be just a little bit tighter? <-- Worth a test at least.

Great work, Keep it up!
