I'd recommend getting rid of the bevel/emboss on the R and keeping it flat - I'm under the belief that that filter should be cast out of photoshop - lol

James Random - you are absolutely right - bevels, glows etc. are used here only to attract clients attention and shorten time of logo aproval:-)

I'm with you. I like the rest of the logo a lot, but it could live without the embossing on the R. It might even look richer.

no offense, mate - but who actually cares about those perfect circles you drew? What's the point of showing the "blueprint" of that logo to us? Did you showed this to the client as well? We ALL know that Corel Draw (or Illustrator ) can produce perfect circles. Also, listen to what the othe people are telling you - lose the gradients and bevels - they only help people to sell your design to the client, but it doesn't help you do better designs.

Just look at your design, scaled down to, let's say, the top of the bottle cap:

Have you noticed the bevels? I don't.

Neogray, I find it interesting to see how he formulated his design, thanks for asking. Designing something is more than just about the finished outcome, showing the blueprint for the logo makes a nice alternative to showing off his sketchbook on here.

-Do you usually attack everything everyone does?

Nice work Epixs

WOW, James!!!! Attack? I assumed that this is A PROFESSIONAL forum, where we share ideas and gain professionalism. I'm into graphic design business for the past 16 years and I can tell the good design. I just expressed my opinion that showing those "blueprints" is meaningless to me, as they probably won't impress the client, and if you read carefully enough, you will see that I was asking does that manner do any good for the persuasion of the client to buy the design.

The fact that I commented negatively some of your designs doesn't necessarily means that I'm attacking everyone. And if you cannot bear to receive negative feedback for your work, forums are the worst place you choose to show off your work. Not to mention that inability to accept other people's opinions speaks for itself...

No harsh feelings, but you better comment this guy work, rather than starting flame wars with me :)

Cheer up, dude - those are just pictures

Did you ever consider how other designers might be interestedto see how the logo came to fruition. And im sure if its for a wine makers, then wine bottles traditionally use a cork - therefore your argument about scaling down for bottle caps becomes moot - yet the point of a logo having to look good at nearly 5px square is valid.

Im not trying to be unprofessional, I'm just trying to point out that just because the blueprints mean nothing to you, they may hold some interest to others.
