Go do some research mate, ala go somewhere, where there are plenty of restaurants, take photos of their logos, grab their menus (if they have any you can take). Also, work with the name, think outside the box, etc...

You might want to head over to LogoPond and do a search for what you are seeking.
There's also an article I wrote about designing restaurant logos at Creative Latitude: Designs on Dining Just yesterday I got a copy of the new book 1000 Restaurant Bar & Cafe Graphics: From Signage to Logos and Everything in Between. It's a whole book of restaurant design eye candy and inspiration. It just hit the bookstores here in the U.S. Good luck with the project.
