Default help brainstorm?

So I need help with brainstorming some ideas for my own logo. I just haven't come up with the right idea yet. obviously, the name is "onesummer" and here's the direction I want for it. keep in mind I'm only asking for some ideas, no actual mockups. I just have some odd brain block or something and I just can't think of something, so I'm asking you guys to help "unblock" me, so to speak.

1 keep "one" and "summer" together "onesummer"
2 No "1" 's . nothing numeric. "one" refers to the fact (atleast I think so) that people's great stories and/or best memories, when talked about, often start out "One summer, I..." and they go on to tell about one of the greatest summer's they've had and why. summer's usually a good time for most people, obviously some prefer winter, but summer is when school's out for kids, you get to swim, go on vacation, etc, etc.

3. the "one summer" is also the title of a song by a , now defunct, band that I'm friends with, the 2 skinnee j's (2sj.com -- sorry, i know it's not that great of a site, i haven't touched it in like 3 years) anyway, here's a link to the song lyrics. onesummer lyrics

(pardon the site design, I have not updated it in years, just don't have the time right now...)
4. like to keep the focus on either "onesummer" or maybe the initials "os" more of a word mark. maybe incorporate a sun somehow, but in as subtle a way as possible. otherwise, just wanting something creactive, unique, somewhat artistic.

I hate asking for help, but i need to hear someone else's perspective on some ideas to help me get going. hoping it'll help spark a new idea from myself.

thanks.

That's a tough one, but I'll keep my creative juices open for it and hopefully post some ideas later.

Have the o and the s a slightly lighter/darker tint than rest of the text (lame idea i know, but would work if done right)

Just don't do anything cheesy like turn the o in one into a sun and you'll get it soon enough :) hehe

here's something I have been debating whether to use for my own mark or not...curious what you guys have to say. feel free to be as loving or hating as you want (not that you feel you need my permission before doing so!) meaning is somewhat provided in the top post that I started this thread with.

I'd drop the letter spacing it doesn't work with that style font

You could have one and summer slightly different colours.
