I meant to write this earlier, but I didn't have time to articulate my thoughts then.

Not great for a designer though if a piece of work is finished the client has paid and they've posted it in a non crit section and another designer tears it to pieces.

Why post work on a forum if you don't want it to be discussed? I gave my opinion of the logo and I gave the reasons behind it. I'm not going to kiss Toon's ass and say I love the logo just because he didn't ask for critiques. I wouldn't be doing him any favours by lying to him.

Forums are for discussion. Don't post work if you are afraid that people will tell you they don't like it because, inevitably, someone will.

Well put Paddy! A lot of times the truth gets lost in my opinion. Anything I've ever posted mostly got "nice", "I like that", I was looking for so much more than that. Advice as what to do, what I could change, perhaps I even get shredded. That kind of crit makes up better artists.
